Recently three grocery store chains in New York decided to stop selling tobacco products.This is great news since tobacco causes one out of five deaths.

Reducing the availability and promotion of cigarettes and other forms of tobacco will help people quit, discourage kids from starting, and demonstrate that supermarkets really are good neighbors who care about our community.

Cigarettes and other tobacco products, even when used in moderation, are the only products sold in your stores that kill people.

Therefore, I strongly encourage your supermarket chain to make the right decision for our communities and your business by ending the sale of tobacco.
