A Salute to Our Community's
Tobacco-Free Leaders
On November 7, 2007 at Proctors Gallery in Schenectady, the Capital District Tobacco-Free Coalition, in partnership with Tobacco-Free Healthy School and Reality Check Youth Action, celebrated organizations, businesses, and municipalities that established a tobacco-free policy, refused tobacco industry sponsorship, or made other significant contributions to promote a healthy and tobacco-free Capital District community.
Tobacco control efforts in the Capital District are working because people in the Capital District are working. It is individuals in each of these organizations and businesses who make the difference. Their commitment is the reason why we are ultimately winning the fight against Big Tobacco.
There’s a role in this effort for everyone. Our 2007 Honorees demonstrate that. We hope you'll join us in saluting them. And we hope they inspire others to join our coalition because our work is far from done.
