Thanks to Tri City Rentals, apartment renters will have many more options to breathe smoke-free air in their homes in the near future.  Starting September 1,  Tri City began converting all of their apartments in the Capital Region to a smoke-free policy which will prohibit smoking and vaping in all indoor spaces and within 50 feet of their properties.  Secondhand smoke does not stay contained in one unit, but travels from common areas, through doorways, cracks in walls and ventilation systems. Smoking by one resident can expose everyone in the building.  And secondhand smoke is not just a nuisance.  It is a serious health hazard that can trigger asthma attacks and cause lung cancer and respiratory infections.  Going smoke-free in all of their 27 Capital Region apartment communities will benefit residents, staff and visitors by creating safer, cleaner, healthier buildings.  Tri City expects to complete their smoke-free conversion by September 1, 2025.  Read about it here.
