Rensselaer Co. Public Forum on March 7 offers opportunity to weigh in on T21

A law to raise the legal minimum age for the sale of all tobacco products to age 21 was introduced in the Rensselaer County Legislature in January and may be subject to a vote as early as their March 13th meeting. Tobacco 21 is a policy option that has demonstrated significant results in reducing youth smoking and has already been adopted by both Albany and Schenectady counties. Rensselaer County proposes local law to raise minimum legal age for tobacco sales to 21

A law to raise the legal minimum age for the sale of all tobacco products to age 21 has been introduced in the Rensselaer County Legislature, a policy option that has demonstrated significant results in reducing youth smoking.
